EHOs don't give notice

Your inspector can visit any time. Are your records up to date right now?

Paper records get lost

A folder of handwritten logs is fine, until it isn't. Digital records don't get left on the worktop.

Allergens are the #1 risk

Incorrect allergen information is the most common reason home caterers fail inspections.

Recording takes too long

If it's a chore, it doesn't get done. KitchenReady is built to take under 2 minutes a day.

All 7 sections, on your phone

KitchenReady covers every record an EHO will ask to see, in one place, always up to date.

Daily Diary

Opening and closing checks in under 2 minutes. Log fridge temps, pest checks, allergen status and anything that went wrong, with corrective actions.

Temperature Log

Record fridge, freezer, cooking and delivery temperatures with automatic safety alerts. Colour-coded warnings show when something's out of range.

Cleaning Schedule

Log every clean with product used, who did it, and when. Pre-filled with common home kitchen areas: worktops, mixer, oven, fridge, sink and more.

Allergen Records

Track all 14 UK major allergens across every recipe you sell. Cross-contact risks, advisory warnings and a full allergen matrix: exactly what inspectors want.

Supplier Records

Keep your approved supplier list inspection-ready. Name, contact details, what they supply and when you first used them. All logged and exportable.

Staff Training

Record food hygiene certificates, allergen awareness training and SFBB safe methods for everyone who works in your kitchen, including yourself.

4-Weekly Reviews

The FSA requires a 4-weekly review of your food safety system. KitchenReady guides you through the checklist and tracks when your next one is due.

Inspection Report

One tap generates a complete, print-ready inspection report covering all 7 sections. Hand it to your EHO with confidence.

Readiness Score

A live 0-100 inspection readiness score across all 7 SFBB sections. See at a glance exactly what's up to date and what needs attention before your EHO visits.

Allergen Labels

Generate PPDS-compliant allergen labels for pre-packed products you sell. Covers all 14 UK major allergens and meets Natasha's Law requirements.

Up and running in 5 minutes

No training needed. No complicated setup. Just your kitchen, inspection-ready.

Frequently asked

The Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) pack is the Food Standards Agency's food safety management system for small catering businesses. It covers 7 areas: diary, temperatures, cleaning, allergens, suppliers, training and 4-weekly reviews. If you run a food business from home, you're required to have a food safety management system in place. SFBB is the standard way to do it.
Yes. Registering with your local authority is a legal requirement, but registration alone doesn't keep you compliant. You also need to maintain ongoing food safety records. That's what your EHO will ask to see when they visit. KitchenReady keeps those records for you.
Yes. Your data is stored in Cloudflare's UK data centres and is never shared with third parties. Each account is completely isolated: no other user can see your records. We're GDPR compliant and you can export or delete all your data at any time.
Yes. KitchenReady is designed mobile-first and works in your browser on any phone, tablet or computer. You can also install it to your home screen like a native app -- it works offline and loads instantly. No app store needed.
Your account and all your records stay intact. You simply revert to the free tier limits (90-day history, 15 allergen recipes). You can export everything at any time, and you can upgrade again whenever you like.
You can enter historical records for any past date. Just pick the date when adding a diary entry or temperature log. KitchenReady doesn't limit you to today's date, so you can catch up all your paper records digitally.
Technically yes: UK law requires you to register with your local council at least 28 days before trading. Registration is free at register.food.gov.uk. KitchenReady helps with the ongoing records your EHO will ask to see once you are trading. Our Business Setup Guide walks you through registration and everything else you need to do before your first sale.
The Allergen Records section tracks all 14 major allergens across every recipe you sell, giving you the accurate allergen data you need to write legally compliant labels under Natasha's Law. The app does not generate labels directly, but it tells you exactly what allergens to include and highlight. Our setup guide covers the full labelling requirements for home caterers.
